Meet Dr. Bisaria

When I started practicing dermatology in 2009, I believed that choosing the right treatment would be the most important part of helping my patients.

Over the years, I realised that my work didn't end with a prescription or a procedure. It continued every morning and every evening, when my patients reached for the products they used at home.

Time and again, I saw the same challenge. Many products promised dramatic results but overlooked the fundamentals of healthy skin and hair. Some were too harsh for long-term use. Others focused on trends rather than thoughtful formulation.

I wanted something different.

I wanted products I could recommend with complete confidence — products that reflected the same principles I follow in my clinic every day: respect the skin barrier, care for the scalp, choose ingredients with purpose, and believe in consistent care over quick fixes.

That belief became YUBIOME.

Every formulation begins with a simple question:

"Would I confidently recommend this to my own patient every day?"

If the answer isn't an unequivocal yes, we go back to the drawing board.

Whether it's a cleanser, a shampoo, or a nutritional supplement, our goal is never to chase trends or make exaggerated promises. Instead, we create products that support the natural biology of skin and hair, allowing healthier skin and stronger hair to develop through thoughtful, consistent care.

As a dermatologist, I know that lasting results rarely happen overnight. They are built over time — through good science, careful formulation, and daily habits that people can realistically maintain.

YUBIOME is an extension of my practice and my philosophy. It represents the products I wanted for my patients and the standards I set for everything I recommend.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey towards healthier skin and hair.

Our Philosophy

Eleven principles guide every formula we make.

None of them are secrets. All of them are why YUBIOME looks the way it does.

  1. We work with biology, rather than against it.

Skin and scalp are not blank surfaces waiting to be corrected — they are living, adaptive systems with their own defenses, signalling processes and microbial ecosystems. YUBIOME formulates to support the skin and scalp's own regulatory processes, not to override them.

  2. Healthy skin and healthy hair produce better cosmetic outcomes than corrected skin and hair.

A clearer complexion or a stronger strand is not achieved by masking a problem — it is the visible consequence of an underlying system functioning well. Health is the mechanism, appearance is the evidence.

  3. We optimise for long-term skin and hair health, not for temporary cosmetic effect.

YUBIOME does not formulate for the sensation felt at the sink. It formulates for the condition of the skin and hair three months from now.

  4. Comfort improves treatment compliance.

A product a patient tolerates is a product a patient will actually use. Comfort is a precondition for efficacy to occur at all, because efficacy requires consistent use.

  5. Barrier preservation is part of efficacy, not separate from it.

A formula that treats a concern while damaging the barrier has not solved the problem — it has traded one problem for another. Barrier preservation is evaluated as a core measure of whether a formula is working.

  6. Every ingredient should have a clear purpose.

Every ingredient present must be able to answer a simple question: what is it doing here, and why is it needed.

  7. Every claim should have a biological mechanism.

If a claim cannot be traced back to a specific, explainable action, it does not get made.

  8. Daily use matters more than aggressive short-term treatment.

A gentle formula used consistently for months will outperform an aggressive formula used inconsistently.

  9. Consistency creates cumulative improvement.

Improvement in skin and hair is rarely a single event. It is the accumulation of many small, correctly repeated actions.

  10. We formulate for what repeatedly works in real dermatology practice, rather than following ingredient trends.

An ingredient's popularity is not evidence of its value. Our formulation decisions begin in the clinic, not on a trend report.

  11. We respect our customers' intelligence and explain why products work.

A customer who understands why a product works is more likely to trust it, use it correctly, and stay consistent with it. Explanation is part of the product.

See how these principles become three formulas.

Our Standards

Formulation Standards

Every formula is sulfate-free, paraben-free, and silicone-free by default unless a specific ingredient earns its place against that standard. pH is balanced to what skin and scalp actually tolerate, not a generic target.

Ingredient Sourcing & Safety

Every included ingredient must answer a specific question: what is it doing here, and why is it needed. Nothing is added for texture, trend, or shelf appeal alone.

Manufacturing Standards

Manufactured by MEDFE (Mfg. Licence No. 421-L-COS-(H)), held to international standards in formulation, raw material, and manufacturing. Made in India, for Indian skin, hair, and climate.

Dermatological Review

Every formula is reviewed against the same question asked in clinic: would this be confidently recommended to a real patient, every day.

Ingredient Philosophy

Every ingredient earns its place. Here's why.

Strengthening systemBiome-Strength™ Complex

Why this ingredient exists

Named because Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Silk, and Panthenol do a measurable job together — strengthening the hair shaft — at the concentrations used here. It's not a separate ingredient; it's what we call this combination when it's working as intended.

How it supports the formulation

The same complex runs through both the Shampoo and the Intense Mask, so fibre-strengthening isn't a one-off claim on a single product — it's consistent through the wash step and the treatment step of the same routine. Within it, Hydrolyzed Keratin and Hydrolyzed Silk reinforce the hair shaft at a structural level, while Panthenol keeps that reinforcement from feeling stiff or coated, maintaining flexibility and softness alongside the added strength. Because the concentrations are held steady across both products, using them together compounds the effect over time rather than simply repeating it.

Used in: Strengthening Shampoo, Intense Mask

Oil & comfort supportZinc Lactate

Why this ingredient exists

Acne-prone and combination skin often needs oil and comfort support — but reaching for a stronger active risks disrupting a barrier that's already under strain. Zinc Lactate does that job without the trade-off.

How it supports the formulation

It works alongside Allantoin and Panthenol, not instead of them — the cleanser removes the day's buildup, Zinc Lactate keeps oil and comfort in check between washes, and the barrier-support ingredients make sure none of that costs the barrier anything.

Used in: Clarive Face Wash

Botanical SupportOnion Extract

Why this ingredient exists

Allium Cepa Bulb Extract, included in Folix Intense Mask for its established use in hair care as an antioxidant-rich botanical that supports overall strand quality alongside the formula's keratin and silk proteins.

How it supports the formulation

It sits at a supportive level within the mask's conditioning base, working alongside the keratin and silk proteins as part of the wider system — not positioned as a single hero ingredient asked to carry the result alone.

Used in:  Intense Mask

Hydration & Barrier SupportPanthenol

Why this ingredient exists

Also known as Pro-Vitamin B5, it draws in and holds moisture, helping maintain the flexibility and comfort of both skin and hair fibre. Used in both Clarive and Folix Shampoo for this reason — it supports the same barrier-first goal in two different formats.

How it supports the formulation

It draws in and holds moisture at the surface, working alongside each formula's other barrier-support ingredients rather than as a standalone hero — helping keep skin and hair fibre flexible and comfortable between uses.

Used in: Clarive Face Wash, Strengthening Shampoo

Fibre strengtheningHydrolyzed Keratin & Hydrolyzed Silk

Why this ingredient exists

Fragile, breakage-prone hair needed the wash itself to stop contributing to the damage — not just a gentler cleanser, but fibre support during the exact moment breakage is most likely: washing and detangling.

How it supports the formulation

They work with Polyquaternium-7 to smooth and detangle rather than fight the mild surfactant base — cleansing and fibre support happen in the same step, instead of being split across two products.

Used in: Strengthening Shampoo, Intense Mask

Soothing & Skin ComfortAllantoin

Why this ingredient exists

A skin-conditioning ingredient long used for its calming effect on irritated or reactive skin. In Clarive, it works alongside Zinc Lactate to keep daily cleansing comfortable rather than stripping.

How it supports the formulation

It works alongside Zinc Lactate and Panthenol in the same formula — each ingredient handles a distinct part of comfort, rather than one ingredient being asked to do everything.

Used in: Clarive Face Wash

Botanical supportRosemary Extracts

Why this ingredient exists

Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, an antioxidant botanical commonly associated with scalp and hair vitality, rounding out the botanical support system in Folix Intense Mask.

How it supports the formulation

It rounds out the mask's botanical support system, working alongside onion and amla extracts and the formula's keratin and silk proteins rather than functioning as an isolated ingredient.

Used in: Intense Mask

Botanical SupportAmla Extract

Why this ingredient exists

Emblica Officinalis Fruit Extract — an antioxidant-rich botanical with a long history in hair care, included to support overall hair quality with regular, consistent use.

How it supports the formulation

Like the mask's other botanicals, it works at a supportive level within the conditioning base — contributing to the overall antioxidant profile of the formula rather than acting as a standalone active.
